The surface of the KABUKI series consists of 4 removable boards and is coated with a urethane paint finish. Please choose your favorite from the 5 colors we have available ( blue · yellow · black · green · red ). A mix of certain colors and styles represent or symbolize different meanings for example, if you want it to be given a sense of unity, we suggest that you choose the same color for all 4 boards. If you want it to be striped, you can alternate 2 colors like red and black, or if you want it to be colorful in various ways, you also can choose up to 4 different colors. You are only limited to your imagination but we hope we can help you find what you need.
Please refer to the following when you have difficulty selecting colors. Below is a summarization of the invisible magical powers or effects of each color.
Blue has the effect of calming the excitement of the mind and suppressing emotions, so you will be able to judge things calmly regardless of any emotions. Blue light is theorized to stimulate the "parasympathetic nerve", and lowers body temperature and pulse. Breathing can become slower and deeper. Plus, this color has an effect to make you feel cool.
Yellow is the color which is closest to the sun's light, giving people pleasure and hope. It also stimulates intelligence and understanding, so it may help you work smoothly. If you place this color in your office, (especially when you want to put your thoughts together or where your intellectual ability is tested) it could be useful. Plus, in Feng Shui it is said that if you place yellow objects on the west side, you'll have good luck with money. It also has an added effect of increasing one's appetite.
Black is achromatic color similar to white or gray, and matches well with any color because it has the property of absorbing other colors. This is especially true when bright colors such as yellow and red are put into the mix.
This is one of the most popular color scheme combinations. What`s more, this color gives calmness, dignity, luxury and a modern atmosphere. Incidentally, ebony has come in handy as a natural black wood which gives a noble feeling.
Green is the neutral color which is neither warm or cold, it seen as less intrusive. It lies in the very center of the visible light spectrum. This color has the effect of giving peace of mind to the people thanks to its color image of nature such as grass and forests. It also brings relaxation and a comfortable feeling, for that reason some may experience a sleeping effect if you choose this color scheme.
Red can be portrayed as a color of warmth. Experiments have shown that a room with red decor may inhibit the rise of body temperature by as much as 2-3℃. This happens because the red light stimulates "the sympathetic nerve", causing blood pulse and improving blood flow resulting in elevated body temperature. If used in your interior, you can expect not only the aesthetics but the beneficial warming effects it brings.
The installation method of a top board is very easy.
① Please position the insert nuts with the iron base shown in these two pictures.
② Insert the hexagonal screw as shown in the photo and tighten the screw with a hex wrench.
* Tighten the screw until lightly snug, do not over tighten. It is recommended that you alternate between sides rather than tightening one side all at one.
③ Install remaining boards in the same manner.
Note ・We ensure high quality dye produced by a long-established manufacture in Kyoto, it is usually used for dyeing clothes, so there are no side effects concerning health. ・Since there is a possibility that the dye may leach out, please do not put high temperature objects such as pots directly on the table. If possible please prevent liquids spills on the surface. In case of such circumstances, please wipe immediately with a dry cloth. ・When cleaning, simply wipe with a dry cloth. Wiping with a damp or wet cloth may cause the dye to leach out a bit.
・Hinoki is a coniferous tree so it is easier to get damaged compared to hardwood like walnut or oak. During normal usage, the surface may be prone to minor scratches. This is normal and adds a natural aging decorative look. ・Be careful not to severely scratch it when removing or installing the top boards. ・Since hinoki is a natural material, the shades and grain of each board are different so please enjoy these natural features.
